Job Description
Weichert Workforce Mobility is hiring a Business Data Analyst. The Business Data Analyst is responsible for understanding the business process for reporting needs and supporting all aspects of Reporting & Analytics projects and initiatives.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Understands business needs, and guides colleagues in Salesforce built-in reporting and/or self-serve reporting tools if business needs can be catered before collecting requirements for report development by Reporting & Analytics team.
- Educates self with business process and business operating systems screen flow navigation by meeting with business stakeholders and SMEs.
- Gathers reporting requirements by understanding business needs that do not fit into Salesforce built-in and/or service tools; writes DevOps stories with specifications along with supporting sample templates and documentation.
- Acts as a liaison between non-technical business users and technical report developers bridging communication.
- Discusses requirements with developer to ensure seamless development process.
- Tests and audits to ensure reports are developed according to specifications.
- Works with business user testers to ensure their needs are met followed by production deployment.
- Evaluates defective reports and triage business user questions and concerns based on change requests.
- Assists in self-serve reporting tools requirements gathering, development and testing.
- Manages and reviews Service Request tickets.
- Responsible for business documentation as required by the standard protocol.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related Technology field preferred
- Three (3) or more years of experience in business analysis
- Relocation Industry experience preferred
- Experience in analyzing Power BI paginated reports, charts, graphs, and dashboards with drilldown capability.
- Ability to analyze complex reports and identify challenges to improve output
- Basic Excel-based analytical skills to analyze data
- Proficient understanding of Salesforce built-in reporting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts and ideas in a non-technical, simple manner across different levels of an organization
- Ability to translate business needs into plain language requirements
- Ability to work independently, and under the pressure of deadlines
- Detail oriented and have ability to follow team processes
- Strong technology skills including proficiency with Excel, and an interest in learning new tools
- Proven ability to develop quality ad-hoc reports using in-house tools and analyses with minimal direction
- Advanced business analytics skills and ability to translate data to business contexts
- Excellent math skills
- Strong research and analytical/decision making and problem-solving skills
- Basic SQL querying knowledge to read the data from the database for any ad-hoc business requests
