Job Description
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with BCAS for obtaining security clearance and required approvals.
- Prepare, review and implement regulatory documents & SOP’s
- Recommending security features to be included in plans. Security recommendation includes modification in airport design specification, including architecture and infrastructure changes necessary for security as per NCASP,
- Ensure timely submission of security reports to BCAS i.e. Action Taken Report (ATR), Operational & incident reports.
- Dissemination of regulatory guidelines to stakeholders and entities.
- Conduct internal & external audit / inspection in compliance to Quality Control Programme (QCP).
- Lead external audit/ inspection and ensure timely submission of ATR in coordination with Security Lead & Lead Cargo Security, NMIA.
- Regularly review and update the organization’s policies and procedures.
- Ensure requirement of security staff in compliance with NCASTP guidelines and ensure AvSec trainings & certification as per regulatory guideline.
- Ensure quality of security equipment in accordance to BCAS guidelines.
- Maintain a record of all occurrences of unlawful interference affecting airport operations, including bomb threats, and of all weapons and dangerous devices detected in the screening process.
- Monthly review with Lead Security, NMIAL to appraise security updates and resolution of deficiency, if any.
- Ensure timely reporting & submission of incident/ accident report in accordance with BCAS guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with AO 11/2015 and regularly update the Lead Cargo Security at NMIA.
- Maintain communication with regulatory bodies and ensure all necessary documentation and reports are submitted in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Physical Qualification:
- Visual accuracy – Eyesight shall be equal or better than 20/60 in both eyes without glasses / lenses or equal or better that 20 / 20 in one eye and 20 / 30 in the other when using glasses or contact lenses. Adequate colour perception shall be required.
- Hearing – Hearing loss in each ear should be less than 30 dB when tested by audio graph for frequencies below 2000 Hz.
- Speech – There shall be clear ability to communicate orally efficiently and effectively. Movement-of-crisis communication necessitates that screening personnel be free from any pronounced speed impediment.
- Sense of smell – Security personnel shall have the ability to sense odour
- Deportment & Appearance – Security personnel must demonstrate a high standard of civility, deportment, appearance and sobriety as well as offer the public all appropriate courtesies.
Education And Other Qualifications
- Graduate with good communication skills with 4-7 year of experience in screening and other security functions associated with Security department of Regulated Agent or Aircraft Operator or Airport Operator or ASG.
- Certified and valid Avsec Basic Course by BCAS & Avsec Refresher Course ( as applicable).
- Certified and valid Screener Certification by BCAS.
- Certified and valid DGR CAT 12 certifications by DGCA .
- Trained in operating security equipment’s like X BIS/ ETD/ DFMD/ HHMD and other security related activity.
- NCC – “C” or “B” Certificate Holder will be preferred
