Responsibilities

Job Overview: Drives forklifts to transport products and equipment. The Forklift Driver/Order Picker picks and transports finished goods from the warehouse to the transport vehicles. Transportation of finished goods within the warehouse, between Warehouse A and Warehouse B.

• Bulk Picking
• Loading of trucks
• Transport stock to warehouse
• Transport to overflow warehouse
• Transport product waste to waste area for disposal
• Ensure daily pre-op checks are completed
• Report any damages to equipment to Line Manger on duty
• Ensure forklifts are placed on charge when not in use
• Adhere to company safety standards when operating a forklift
• Ensure that you have a valid forklift license at all times
• Complete near miss reports as part of the safety and awareness culture to minimize risks and alleviate the number of recordable incidents occurring in the warehouse

Additional Tasks

• Perform all other duties as may be directed/instructed by the Line Manager or Supervisor
• Housekeeping/cleaning

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification is a grade 12
• A Valid Forklift licence (Code applicable to Double Handler)
• Must pass a medical assessment
• Two-year experience as a Forklift Driver
