Job Description
- Design and implement fire protection systems adhering to NFPA and UAE codes.
- Value-engineering and Redesign systems for cost-effective, efficient solutions that balance performance and budget.
- Prepare technical submittals, respond to comments, and produce design calculations to ensure project compliance.
- Utilize AutoCAD, NAVISWORKS, and Revit for design, coordination, and documentation.
- Manage multiple projects efficiently, ensuring successful and timely delivery.
- Accepting, Logging the jobs from the estimation department with Proper documentation – LOI, Specification, Drawings etc
- Assigning Design Draftsman imparting proper guidance to handle the job
- Monitor preparation of Material Submittals (Initial Material proposal, pre qualification submittals) in compliance with the contractual requirements
- Meeting the contractor, consultant & client providing required Technical Support for proposed Material and System design and approvals as and when required (The Design & Technical Draftsman will be responsible for the necessary approvals)
- Monitor Shop drawing preparation and obtain approvals in line with the final material approval from consultant / client and finally from the local authorities meeting them if required
- To monitor coordination with the Material delivery department to get the job registered in the oracle / sales order to deliver the material as per the reconfigured quotation for delivery / revised LPO as available.
- Handing over the project to the Pre commissioning / Commissioning Department with necessary documents such as
- Final AHJ / CDA Approved Drawings incorporating comments – if any)
- Final reconfigured System quotation / configuration for delivery
- Approved Cause & effect Matrix charts and similar Project requirements
- Monitor Preparation of final as built drawings, Operation and maintenance manuals for System handing over
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 5-6 years of experience in firefighting system design and shop drawings of proven experience in the UAE with a reputable fire-fighting contractor.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is a must with Experience with BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination.
- In-depth knowledge of NFPA standards, fire safety regulations & UAE code
