Responsibilities:
- Identify and recruit officers and ratings to fill onboard vacancies, ensuring alignment with Maersk’s selection standards and compliance with national and international requirements.
- Cast a wide net to find the best talent by utilizing job portals, social media, and maintaining an organized database with profiles, references, and communication records.
- Conduct initial recruitment interviews and coordinate technical assessments with a panel of experienced interviewers.
- Process and document new recruits and rehires in the Compas Crew Management System.
- Manage the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring smooth embarkation and a memorable experience for seafarers, covering medicals, certifications, e-learning courses, and pre-joining briefings.
- Assist in designing creative recruitment materials, including presentations and advertisements, to attract top talent.
- Leverage data management and analytics to enhance recruitment strategies and improve efficiency.
What are we looking for?
- 2+ years of experience in recruitment, preferably in the marine industry (or, if you’ve got transferable skills and a passion for ships, we want to hear from you!)
- Experience with the Compas Crew Management application is a valuable bonus that will enhance your effectiveness in the role.
- A team player who communicates clearly and effectively — because smooth sailing requires teamwork!
- A sharp, analytical mind with a proactive approach to improving work processes.
- Self-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability, take the helm and steer us forward!
- The ability to take initiative and support new projects, and deliver results as a team.
- An understanding of data management and analytics to fine-tune recruitment efforts is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- A creative flair for designing presentations and advertisements is a big plus.
- A people’s person who can build strong relationships and collaborate effectively.
- Adaptable and resilient, able to navigate the ever-changing tides of the job market.
- A high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
- A proactive problem solver with a results-driven mindset.
- Able to work independently but always ready to support the crew when needed.
