Multimedia Designer

There’s a reason for the multi-word title. We’re looking for a uniquely-talented individual to help support our growing in-house agency. This is a dream role for people who know how to do more than one thing in the space of video creation and production. Ask yourself if you’re conceptual, can animate, edit, and even storyboard ideas. From podcasts and shorts to long form productions, our in-house creative team is being tapped to do more and more video for a range of clients. What more do we need from you?

Key Abilities Include

  • Thinking and creating fresh ideas in the visual and motion graphics space
  • Participating as a collaborative problem-solver
  • Tireless curiosity in the space of creativity and video trends including social media
  • Willingness to pitch in and help on a range of projects
  • Being wired for collaboration with our in-house agency team members

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in film, video graphics and animation
  • A video reel with long and short form video samples
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience creating, editing and producing video
  • Must be proficient in Adobe suite – After Effects, Illustrator and Premier Pro
  • Solid knowledge of video output formats for different platforms
  • HTML 5 experience a plus
  • Amazing eye for detail
  • Ability to manage complex projects and time
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proactive team supporting and building
  • A creative portfolio and reel that demonstrate your skills in the space of video, motion graphics and storytelling

This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in the Hartford, CT office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$77,600 – $116,400
