Job Description

Sign-On/Retention incentives: up to $5000*

  • POSITION STANDARDS
      • Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from an accredited college/university; Registered Dietitian or RDE; Previous clinical experience helpful but not necessary.
      • Age of Patients Treated: Independent Care, Out-patients: All Ages, usually adult/geriatric, M&S and Community/Occupational Health – usually adult
      • Master’s Degree from an accredited program in nutritional sciences (2024 and after)
      • Minimum 2 years’ related experience preferred.
      • -Current NH Dietitian license. – Current Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
      • Eligible applicants with pending license will be considered
  • POSITION PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    • Anything listed here requires a pre-employment physical by Employee Health to determine if the employee is capable of meeting the requirements.
      • Physical Activity:
      • Must be able to verbalize clearly and hear normal speech.
      • Upper Extremity:
      • Visual impairment should not be so severe to prevent independent activity as necessary to perform job duties.
      • Must be able to move independently about the facility.

  • PART TWO: FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY
    • Position Objective
      • Evaluates, assesses, and plans nutrition care to meet patient nutritional needs.
    • Performance Expectation
        • Assesses patient nutritional status using documented medical information and established nutritional standards.
        • Counsels patients and/or families by identifying nutrition-related problems. Develops plans of instruction and nutritional care, and monitoring results.
        • Identifies inpatients at nutritional risk and documents recommendations.
        • Diagnose and develop intervention for patients with malnutrition
        • Participates in physicians’ rounds, discharge planning rounds, and conferences with nutritional implications.
        • Conducts education programs for patients, community groups, and staff.
        • Precept and mentor new staff or existing staff in clinical specialty area.
        • Develop therapeutic relationships with multiple subspecialty care team members and providers that enables planning and participating across a broader spectrum patient care.
        • Cross-covers a broader spectrum of patient care areas and subspecialties as needed.
        • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
      • We are offering a $5000 sign-on/retention bonus for this position. *The bonus is for full time, external hires only, and certain conditions apply.
