Job Description
We’re Darrow, a fast-growing legal tech startup with an open, action-based culture unlike any other. We are committed to pursuing our vision of “frictionless justice,” using advanced Machine Learning and AI to revolutionize the justice system.
Our mission is about justice at scale: imagine walking into work every day knowing that you’re advancing your career and making a positive impact on the world. Darrow has more than 140 team members in Tel Aviv and New York and is backed by world-class investors: Georgian, F2 Venture Capital, Entree Capital, NFX, and YCombinator.
About The Role
Our Legal Intelligence team is expanding, and we are seeking a Legal Intelligence Specialist to join our Finance team.
This is not your typical role. As a Legal Intelligence Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in uncovering large-scale legal violations that impact millions of Americans. From bankruptcy to ERISA, your work will contribute to delivering real-world justice at scale.
The ideal candidate has a firm legal background combined with a good understanding of data and financial concepts. While expertise in all areas of our work isn’t required, we value individuals with curiosity, a growth mindset, and the ability to learn quickly.
At Darrow, innovation is our standard. We encourage creativity, entrepreneurial thinking, and the pursuit of new ideas—there is no single “right way” to approach problems here.
Responsibilities:
- Use data, AI, and innovative thinking to uncover large-scale legal violations.
- Conduct legal research to support investigations as needed.
- Develop creative methodologies for analyzing and interpreting unstructured data.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain high production quality and identify emerging legal phenomena.
- Assess and verify the reliability of diverse sources (legal and otherwise).
Requirements:
- Strong legal background (from Israel, the US, or other jurisdictions).
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate resourcefulness, and contribute to a team.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to grasp and apply technical, financial, and legal concepts.
- Creative mindset with a knack for identifying insights and breakthroughs where others may not.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or academic background in Finance or related fields.
- Familiarity with data analysis concepts and tools.
