Job Description
The Global Vice President of Shark Marketing will develop global marketing strategies to accelerate growth in every market through product assortment, innovation and breakthrough demand generation. This person will work closely with cross functional teams to develop and drive the marketing plan including media, communications, assortments, and channels strategy while managing launches occurring on time across all channels and markets.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead the marketing team to build and ensure execution of all go to market plans including product marketing and positioning across all consumer touch points (on shelf, online, social, TV, etc…)
- Work with sales and category management for sell-in strategy, retailer placement, and channel management across key launches
- Communicate and review all commercialization strategies with the executive team, present insights and recommendations, and align on a path forward
- Own product roadmap with product development to ensure long term growth across new and adjacent categories
- Lead and mentor a team of brand marketers to implement on-time and on-brand execution of all key initiatives, campaigns, and deliverables
- Develop and execute brand guidelines to ensure a cohesive brand experience across all potential internal and external audience touchpoints
- Develop consumer insights to not only ideate new products but also to optimize the products throughout the commercialization process; lead innovation testing to prove out ideas with consumers.

- Ability to connect the dots and think at a holistic and strategic level across the business
- Influencing, conflict resolution, and creative problem-solving.
- Comfortable mining and analyzing data and drawing conclusions
- Project management and ability to manage several projects in parallel, navigating a complex cross-functional matrix
- Biased toward action, roll up your sleeves and get it done together
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10-15+ years of prior Marketing experience required, preferably with direct responsibility for Brand strategy, messaging, and commercialization
- Experience in consumables/CPG preferred
- Experience in managing, building, and growing teams in a global context
- Experience leveraging consumer insights to develop effective marketing programs and campaigns
- Experience in creative strategy development, advertising and launching new products
- Experience in launching products globally across several different markets
- Bachelor’s required and MBA preferred
