The Internal Account Manager will play a crucial role in expanding our reach by identifying, contacting, and developing relationships with healthcare providers, labs, and healthcare institutions in need of logistics services. This role will be responsible for qualifying leads, maintaining services to accounts and assisting the sales team in meeting revenue goals. This is an entry-level position, perfect for individuals looking to start their careers in sales within the healthcare and logistics industries.
What you will be doing as an Internal Account Manager at MedSpeed:
- Identify and contact prospective clients via phone, email, and CRM outreach to introduce them to MedSpeed’s services.
- Act as the first point of contact for new customers, answering initial questions, and communicating the value of our services.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of services provided by competitors and utilize this information to solidify or enhance MedSpeed’s market position.
- Educate customers on all new products and services.
- Assist field sales staff by prospecting new business opportunities and evaluating potential growth opportunities of existing clients.
- Work closely with the marketing team to identify market trends and develop strategies for outreach.
- Manage account inquiries to minimize account attrition and negative volume variance.
- Field travel to build stronger relationships, develop sales/service acumen, and close select leads with the Director.
- Utilize Salesforce to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and sales activities.
- Meet and exceed individual targets related to outbound calls, meetings set, and lead conversions
- Manage other projects/responsibilities as assigned.
- Limited in-person customer meetings and travel may be required
What you need to become a MedSpeed Internal Account Manager:
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field required.
- Prior experience in sales or customer service is preferred.
Skill and Competency Requirements:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Organized and detail-oriented with good time management skills
- Team-oriented
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Compensation Statement
The salary range is $60,000 – $70,000 annually, plus commision, and dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, MedSpeed offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and company performance.
