The IT Operations Lead is a mid-career professional responsible for guiding the IT team towards achieving the objectives of the Cultural House. This role requires expertise in modern IT systems and library technologies, specifically the Sierra system, advanced search engines, smart gates, and camera systems. As the team leader, the IT Operations Lead will allocate tasks, monitor project progress, and foster a collaborative environment ensuring high performance. This position also entails acting as the primary contact between clients and the organization regarding IT-related inquiries, collaborating with vendors for contract negotiations, evaluating technological solutions, and ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure. The role is central to strategic decision-making regarding technology adoption and upgrades, ensuring adherence to IT policies and budget management. Proficiency in English is essential to support the organization’s goals and facilitate effective communication with all stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in leading IT operations or a similar field.
- Familiarity with the Sierra library management system or equivalent solutions is preferred.
- Expertise in modern IT systems and emerging technologies.
- Strong knowledge of library systems, advanced search engines, and security technologies (smart gates and camera systems).
- Experience in vendor management, including contract negotiation and solution evaluation.
- Profound understanding of cybersecurity practices and compliance with IT regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage effectively with teams and stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct the IT team in executing strategies aligned with organizational goals, ensuring clarity in roles and responsibilities.
- Allocate IT tasks to team members effectively and monitor project timelines and deliverables to guarantee successful implementation.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture, providing guidance and support to team members in their development.
- Act as the primary liaison for IT-related requests from clients, resolving inquiries and maintaining a high standard of client service.
- Collaborate with vendors to negotiate contracts, assess solutions, and ensure the organization remains updated with technological advancements.
- Oversee the efficient implementation and continuous maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure to meet operational demands.
- Provide strategic recommendations for the adoption and upgrading of modern technologies to enhance organizational capabilities.
- Supervise the integration and operational deployment of smart gates and advanced camera systems within the organizational framework.
- Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies to ensure compliance with organizational standards and legal regulations.
- Manage the IT budget, ensuring the conservation of resources while maintaining the effectiveness of technology operations.
- Troubleshoot critical technical issues, ensuring the security and scalability of IT environments while minimizing downtime.
