Job Description:

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer with a focus on point cloud data processing to join our dynamic team in Islamabad, Pakistan. Your role will be pivotal in developing state of the art applications for the edge and cloud. The expertise you will bring to the table will be crucial in using point cloud data to empower smart cities!

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine algorithms to enhance our capabilities, with a particular focus on spatial data presentation using GIS.
• Create cutting applications for the edge and cloud.
• Design and develop responsive and user-friendly applications for edge and cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
• Optimize application performance for different platforms and devices, ensuring fast loading times and smooth interactions.
• Implement best practices for development, including code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging frontend technologies and frameworks, and evaluate their potential impact on application development.
• Perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of frontend applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and prioritize feature development.
• Ensure compliance with web accessibility standards and optimize applications for accessibility.
• Work closely with DevOps engineers to deploy and maintain frontend applications in edge and cloud environments.
• Participate in the design and development of new features that utilize cutting-edge computer vision techniques to advance our digital twin technology.
• Analyze performance data and iterate on our solutions to enhance accuracy and robustness in spatial data handling.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Proficiency in creating applications for the cloud and edge
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a strong understanding of frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience in developing user interfaces for both edge and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and experience in integrating frontend applications with cloud services.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks, such as React or Cypress.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with an attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
