Job Description
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated Radiographers to join our team of experienced friendly staff who provide services across a dynamic mix of departments for all our patients.
We have full-time posts available.
These posts involve working on a rota basis, covering 7 days, in a variety of radiographic areas including the Emergency Department, theatres and fluoroscopy, as well as participating in out-of-hours duties. All Band 5 Radiographers are given the opportunity to train and work in CT scanning after consolidation of plain film, fluoroscopy and out-of-hours working. The out-of-hours service is in line with Agenda for Change.
Main Duties
To carry out radiographic imaging using ionising radiation ensuring the production of high quality images to enable accurate diagnoses
To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of their own work. To act as an independent radiographic practitioner and maintain professional standards defined by the HPC and College of Radiographers (Registration and Code of Conduct)
To work autonomously, out of hours, making effective clinical decisions in accordance with best practice and the IR(ME)R guidelines
To participate in community working
To ensure that images are acquired in accordance with best practice and that they are diagnostic
To independently assess each patient and adapt radiographic technique according to the needs of the patient
