Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct prefabrication reviews in collaboration with the shop manager
- Verify and receive materials, ensuring accuracy before unloading
- Identify and prepare materials for fabrication tasks
- Lay out materials for cutting or marking as per project specifications
- Assess fit prior to welding operations
- Perform flux welding, with occasional MIG welding
- Partner with the shop manager and quality control personnel to uphold accuracy throughout the fabrication process
- Operate various tools and machinery, including overhead cranes, forklifts, drills, saws, and shears
Required Skills
- Proficiency in flux welding and occasional MIG welding
- Strong measuring, cutting, and fitting abilities
- Familiarity with operating fabrication equipment
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality control
- Effective communication skills for productive collaboration
Qualifications
- Previous experience in fabrication or welding is preferred
- Strong foundational understanding of fabrication processes and quality standards
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment
