General office management and receptionist skills
School Office Experience Preferred
Literacy in spelling and grammar
Proficient typing, word processing, and file maintenance skills
Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of bookkeeping
Knowledge of general office machines
Ability to work with people
Primary Purpose
Provide secretarial support and office management for the principal
Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation of all correspondence, bulletins, forms, etc.
- Perform as a receptionist: setting up appointments, taking messages, etc.
- Set up and maintain all files including staff information cards.
- Answer telephone and intercom.
- Operate and help maintain all office machines.
- Act as financial clerk if necessary.
- Order office/classroom supplies. Receive, distribute, and record all supplies received from warehouse requisitions or purchase orders.
- Handle all appointments for principal, keep up-to-date calendar on meetings, school activities holidays, and building use.
- Keep up-to-date on District and campus rules and regulations, requirements dealing with budget, personnel, and administration.
- Assist students and teachers when required.
- Assist in coordination of office management.
Equipment Used:
Personal computer, printer, copier, calculator, and fax machine.
Working Conditions
Maintain emotional control under stress.
