Job Description
Manage the operations of the division and working with the Senior Operations Manager and Deputy Principal Registrar to provide strong leadership to staff, members and clients, whilst managing a file load as required.
In The Role Of Senior Registrar, You Will
- Provide strong and effective leadership of the registry ensuring a supportive and cohesive workplace environment for all staff.
- Lead the development and implementation of professional development initiatives for tribunal staff.
- Support the Senior Operations Manager in planning, coordinating and managing the operations of the divisional registry including overseeing the execution of the legislation, policies and procedures and rules applying to the varying jurisdictions of QCAT.
- Lead a team, providing guidance and support to team members to ensure the accuracy, timeliness and quality of registry services.
- Manage day-to-day and administrative aspects of the division’s operations, to ensure efficient, effective and quality service delivery.
- Undertake extremely complex file management with no supervision, taking action on each file on its merits including accurately maintaining and reviewing files, as required.
- Support the Registrar in leading a work environment focused on continuous improvement through identifying and implementing business processes and technological improvements.
- Provide high level information, advice and support to the Assistant Director-General/Principal Registrar, Deputy Principal Registrar, Registrar, President, Deputy President and tribunal members about complex files and divisional processes.
- Research and prepare briefing notes, ministerial correspondence (including investigating and actioning complaints), submissions, memoranda and other administrative requirements as requested.
- Participate in and complete QCAT initiatives and activities to support the achievement of the QCAT business plan and strategy.
- Perform duties in accordance with the position’s Financial and Human Resources Delegation of Authority.
- Contribute to the delivery of QCAT’s ongoing services and success by undertaking, as needed, assignments and projects aligned with current capabilities or that provide a development opportunity.
