Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in the Palakkad district, Thrissur, and Ernakulam locations. This is a full-time, mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of work experience. The successful candidate will have a strong background in medication dispensing and pharmacology, combined with excellent customer service skills.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Medication dispensing (Mandatory skill)
  • Strong understanding of pharmacology, including drug interactions, dosage calculations, and side effects management
  • Proven experience in patient counseling, with the ability to provide clear and concise information about medication use and precautions
  • Proficiency in inventory management to ensure the pharmacy is well-stocked and organized
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmacy regulations, including adherence to legal and ethical guidelines
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive experience for every patient
  • Familiarity with medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals and patients
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in medication dispensing and record-keeping

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring correct dosage and instructions are provided
  • Provide detailed patient counseling, including information on medication use, side effects, and potential interactions
  • Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, storing, and tracking medications and supplies
  • Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations, maintaining proper documentation and records
  • Offer exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
  • Maintain a tidy and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
