GPO- India is seeking a skilled and experienced Cost Optimal Country Sourcing Specialist to join our procurement team. The candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing supplier relationships in low-cost countries to optimize our company’s sourcing strategy and reduce overall costs while maintaining quality standards.

Key job responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers in low-cost countries, primarily in India, China & South east Asia and Latin America.
• Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about emerging sourcing opportunities and trends in low-cost regions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing activities with overall business objectives.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to leverage cost advantages in target countries.
• Manage supplier Assessment, relationships, including performance monitoring, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct regular cost analysis and benchmarking to identify savings opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, ethical sourcing practices, and company policies.
• Coordinate with logistics teams to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce lead times.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive supplier database and performance metrics.
• Assist in risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to global sourcing.
• Travel to supplier locations as needed for audits, negotiations, and relationship management.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to ensure optimal terms and conditions in partnership with respective category manager.
