Financial Accountant

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this newly created role is a critical hire for the development of the Finance Team. The role will entail both Management Accounting for one of the business units alongside Financial Reporting and Business Partnering for the remaining business units.

Client Details

My client are a well establish manufacturing business who are consolidating their Global Group function in Carlisle. They have embarked on a period of exciting change within the Finance department, having recently appointed a new senior leadership team. The business aims to continue growth through M&A strategy.

Description

• Management Accountant / Financial Control ownership for one UK site within the Group
• Supporting the Financial Controller to deliver Financial Reporting to agreed timetable
• Supporting the Financial Controller in the development and implementation of improved systems & controls
• VAT compliance for UK businesses
• Monthly reporting suite to highlight cost vs budget for various business units and functions alongside business partnering with budget owners to control costs
• Ownership and reporting of credit card spend / travel & subsistence budget
• Business partnering Site Leads at all UK sites, communicating monthly trading results and highlighting improvement opportunities
• Oversight and development of more junior members of the finance team
• Ad hoc reports / analysis & projects to support the business

Profile

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
• This role could suit someone making their first move from Practice or someone already in Industry
• Strong attention to detail
• Show drive and ambition
• Technical IFRS knowledge would be advantageous
