Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead the execution of a robust quality assurance framework for the technical assistance provided to grantees and oversee contract deliverables associated with Early Childhood Specialists.
- Offer regular coaching and supervision to Early Childhood Specialists, ensuring they provide effective support to grantees in diverse areas including curriculum implementation, teacher-child interactions, family engagement, and child outcomes.
- Design and implement professional development initiatives to bolster Early Childhood Specialists’ capacity to assist grantees in key performance metrics, such as coaching, assessment, and data utilization.
- Manage the aggregation, analysis, and reporting of technical assistance data to perpetually enhance service quality and align with both regional and national objectives, while supporting state-level initiatives.
- Conduct field evaluations of Early Childhood Specialists to assess service quality and identify opportunities for professional growth.
- Collaborate with Regional Office staff to ensure cohesive and effective technical assistance for grantees.
- Engage in national and regional workgroups and meetings in support of the Office of Head Start’s objectives.
- Provide direct technical assistance to grantees upon request from the Regional Office.
- Support the rollout of new Office of Head Start initiatives and priorities.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as necessary to fulfill the organization’s objectives.
Required Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in early childhood education, development, education leadership, or a related discipline.
- At least 7 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 3 years in providing technical assistance to Head Start or early childhood programs, with an emphasis on school readiness.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive supervisory or management experience, ideally with remote staff management experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in coaching personnel, establishing and executing quality assurance systems, and analyzing performance data.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with an aptitude for engaging diverse audiences.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in early childhood education, development, education leadership, or a related area, alongside substantial experience in early childhood education and technical assistance.
