Senior Sourcer

They must be able to positively and professionally represent Modern Animal in the veterinary community.

The Senior Sourcer, under the supervision of the VP of Talent Acquisition, is responsible for strategically uncovering top talent for roles across our medical organization while delivering a world-class experience for all those involved in our recruiting process. This position will source exceptional talent in existing and new markers as we expand outside of California.

We’re a small but mighty recruiting team and there’s lots of room for us to grow! As a Senior Sourcer at Modern Animal, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a high-growth veterinary business by attracting the best candidates to fill our open roles.

While this role is remote, our preference is for the Senior Sourcer to be based within one of our markets: Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay, Denver, Austin, Dallas, or Houston.

What you’ll be working on:

• Responsible for creating robust and creative sourcing strategies to uncover hard-to-find, high caliber candidates – specifically veterinarians and veterinary leaders
• Process includes high bar pre-screening methods, and directly presenting candidate slates to both recruiters and the business (Doctors of Veterinary Medicine)
• Takes a data driven approach to sourcing methodologies and market intelligence research; directly interfaces with business leaders to provide ground-breaking industry insights that inform Modern Animal’s recruiting and expansion strategy long-term
• Drives the end-to-end strategic sourcing process, including but not limited to independently owning stakeholder management as appropriate, and meeting cadences with recruiters and hiring managers alike
• Deeply understands the business and provides compelling market insights to help influence short and long-term business outcomes; directly impacts profitable growth through staffing results
• Craft scalable search strategies that can be used to force multiple the recruiting orgs results for current and future opportunistic roles
• Create relevant, compelling, personalized and high-touch candidate experiences that align with Modern Animal’s values and mission
• Is or becomes an expert in our recruiting systems, and increases overall operation efficiencies across the team as a result (includes documenting and tracking candidate activity in our ATS, Greenhouse; works to drive compliance and adoption across the organization)
• Analyze effectiveness of efforts through data analysis and reporting including search progress reports, status reports, and market trend/feedback reports for presentation

Skills and Qualifications:

• 4+ years of sourcing experience required, a plus if in the healthcare or veterinary industry
• Thrives in an innovative, fast-paced environment startup environment; high level of ownership, can roll up their sleeves, work hard, and have fun to get the job done with limited direction
• Experience sourcing passive candidates across different time zones and markets using advanced and creative sourcing techniques
• Proven experience sourcing and screening for a variety of hard-to-fill positions at various levels while also maintaining a high volume pipeline
• Demonstrable track record of successfully managing complex recruitment campaigns and meeting aggressive hiring targets
• Demonstrated experience thinking strategically about complex business problems that lead to recommendations and action plans
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and drive cross-functional partnerships across the business
• BA/BS degree required

The pay range for this position is $93,000 – $106,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and equity grant units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the California Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on geographic location.
