Summary

Guidewire is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Project Manager. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about project management and eager to develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Job Description

  • Assist in managing the project lifecycle from initiation to closure, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and customer support, to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk management plans.
  • Facilitate project meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and documenting meeting minutes.
  • Track project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify and escalate project risks and issues as needed.
  • Support the development and implementation of project management best practices.
  • Vendor contract management, including tracking renewal timelines and purchase order requests

Required Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in G-Suite (Slides, Sheets, Docs).
  • Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience with project management software such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
  • GIS or Data Science and InsurTech or Property and Casualty (P&C)
  • Previous internship or work experience in a project management role.
