Member Outreach Specialist (8am-5pm EST shift)

About the Role:

Brightline brings virtual and soon in-person behavioral and mental health care to families, when and where they need it. We are looking for a stellar Member Support Specialist, Engagement who will engage potential Brightline members and connect them to our new brick and mortar clinic sites in NY. Other support will include scheduling, billing and any other administrative help Brightline members need. You will be joining a small, but mighty team at the cusp of an exciting growth phase, and be integral in helping us provide great support to every member who accesses our services. Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Taking inbound inquiries from potential members and conducting first phone calls to assess fit for Brightline services with the goal of scheduling new members for first appointment.
  • Conduct outreach to potential members, providing clear, compassionate information about Brightline’s mission, values, and services to encourage enrollment
  • Use motivational interviewing techniques to understand member needs, address barriers to care, and provide personalized support throughout their onboarding journey
  • Collaborate with care team to ensure that members are connected with the diverse resources they need to achieve positive outcomes
  • Scheduling appointments for members
  • Ensuring member paperwork has been completed
  • Supporting Providers with a variety of administrative tasks
  • Answering questions and supporting members between sessions via phone, chat and or email
  • Conducting insurance eligibility checks and collecting member payment information
  • Keeping our internal software tool for the Member Support team ultra-organized
  • Identifying ways to delight our members, ease the workday for our clinical team, and overall improve our operational processes as we scale

This position is a fully remote, with a 8am-5pm EST schedule (Monday – Friday)

  • Previous experience managing a medical office and/or familiarity with insurance billing are a bonus.

This position is 100% remote. The target range for this position is $21-28/hour. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including certifications, experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
