Job Description
The role of Operations Manager has responsibility for the entire operation of the plant, from raw materials through finished product distribution. The incumbent will report to the Director of Manufacturing and will support the San Antonio and Fossil Creek team for the next 3 years while they work on their Production and Warehouse Expansions. The developmental aspect of this roles focuses on preparation for plant responsibilities as permanent Operations Manager, Principle Engineer, or Level II Plant Manager. Upon eligibility, relocation to another facility within the Southwest Beverages Operating Unit may be required.
- Facilitate and manage the day to day operation of the manufacturing environment for the facility. Makes routine process checks and adjusts equipment or work practices according to standard operating procedures.
- Develop and execute business plans supporting manufacturing objectives including the development and implementation of strategies, processes and programs. Maximize productive capabilities to achieve customer satisfaction while attaining operating cost and goals.
- Develops initiatives to achieve manufacturing, quality, and safety standard goals.
- Manage overall package and product quality to ensure all standards and specifications support the Coca-Cola Quality system.
- Develop initiatives to achieve quality, safety, product availability, efficiency, quality, and financial Key Business Indicators.
- Improve process and operational consistency to manage and reduce costs associated with labor and OPEX budget.
- Motivate, direct, coach and develop a high performing diverse and engaged team to meet established goals and build organizational capability. Staff, train and develop team members to reach this level.
- Sustain a consistent, long term vision though continuous process improvement while developing a culture that embraces operational excellence.
- Demonstrate behaviors needed for effective implementation of change.
- Actively drive Good Manufacturing Practices and ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaborates with other departments (e.g., Risk Management, Internal Audit, Employee Services, Human Resources, Sales & Distribution, etc.) to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution. Consults with other functions as needed to resolve difficult issues.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering or other technical discipline.
- Minimum of 2 department manager roles in different supply chain functions.
- Food, beverage or high speed packaging experience.
- Proficient in use of packaged computer software / industry standard software systems (e.g. SAP) and MS Office applications.
- Working knowledge of financial reporting with P&L focus.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S and Six Sigma strongly preferred.
- Must be proficient in MS Office applications.
- 50% travel
