Key Responsibilities
- Designing and maintaining data warehouses and pipelines in AWS (Redshift, RDS).
- Developing and optimizing ETL processes using tools like AWS Glue, Python, and SQL.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data needs and develop reporting solutions.
- Integrating data from multiple sources for analytics and dashboarding.
- Creating dashboards and visualizations using AWS QuickSight or similar tools.
- Implementing DataOps practices to ensure efficient, reliable data workflows.
- Participating in agile ceremonies and cross-team collaborations.
Required Skills For Success
- 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services like Redshift, RDS, Glue, and S3.
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with database design principles.
- Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation.
- Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools like AWS QuickSight (or similar).
- Familiarity with best practices in DataOps and data governance.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote team environment.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow.
Nice To Have
- Experience with data lake architectures and streaming data solutions.
- Familiarity with BI tools beyond QuickSight (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of distributed systems and big data frameworks (e.g., Spark).
- Previous experience in a SaaS or multi-tenant environment.
- Have prior experience building a data pipeline from scratch.

Anticipated Salary Range: As a Canadian based company, our preference is to hire candidates based in Canada, and the base salary for this role is $110k-$130k CAD annually for Canadian employees. However, we are open to candidates in other locations. For candidates located outside of Canada, the annual salary will be adjusted based on the local market expectations. The final offer will consider factors such as your expertise and previous experience.
