As a Storeroom Coordinator you will provide direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of Psychiatric Care Unit Nursing Staff. You will also assists patients with activities of daily living, provide for personal care, comfort and assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of patients.

Essential Functions:

To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Performs all aspects of essential functions in an environment that optimizes safety and reduces the likelihood of errors.
  • Effectively and appropriately communicate with co-workers, demonstrating customer service excellence through application of positive language principles, appropriate response and use of constructive problem-solving techniques which foster positive outcomes.
  • Delivers supplies and equipment to the user departments in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Receives and fills all supply requisitions that are not replenished by the PAR system (Periodic Automatic Replacement Inventory Control).
  • Checks board daily for “hot” items that require priority delivery, i;e; overnight orders needed in Surgery.
  • Delivers refrigerated items immediately upon receipt, i.e. lab supplies that require refrigeration.
  • Properly handles and stores sterile items to maintain sterility.
  • Restocks supply shelves utilizing proper rotation, organization, identification, documentation and proper location of stock items.
  • Notifies Director when supplies or special orders are needed.
  • Understands and applies all receiving policies related to the Order Management System (SMART).
  • Receives stock and non-stock items in SMART accurately and in a timely manner, as they arrive at the facility.
  • Verifies information of the packing slips accurately against the PO information. Notes discrepancies.
  • Obtains appropriate department signatures on all delivery tickets or provides a reasonable explanation.
  • Verifies packing slip with the product. Notes on the delivery ticket if there no packing slip present
  • Returns all delivery tickets and packing slips to the appropriate location and attaches to the PO.
  • Processes returned goods accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintains accurate and continued documentation. Documentation meets current standards and policies. Files completed paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Assists in orientation and training of new staff/students as necessary.
  • Performs other reasonably related job duties as assigned or requested, within scope of practice.

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or equivalent, is required.

Required Certifications:

  • Certification in Non-Violent De-Escalation & Crisis Intervention Training, required within 90 days of hire or transfer.
