Computer Systems Trainer

• The Computer System Trainer is responsible for delivering training sessions on computer system operation, maintenance, repair, server installation, networking, and mobile device configuration. The trainer will guide trainees through hands-on learning and theoretical concepts, ensuring they develop the necessary competencies to handle real-world IT infrastructure tasks. The role involves curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessment of trainees’ performance.

Key Responsibilities:Training Delivery & Facilitation

• Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions for trainees on computer system setup, maintenance, repair, networking, and mobile device configuration.
• Provide hands-on practical training using various computer hardware, operating systems, and software.
• Develop and implement lesson plans, training schedules, and assessment criteria aligned with industry best practices.
• Ensure trainees can set up, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems, peripherals, and network connections.
• Demonstrate techniques for hardware assembly, software installation, server setup, and security configuration.

Curriculum Development & Content Creation

• Develop training modules, workbooks, and presentation materials that align with industry standards and certification requirements.
• Design practical exercises, real-world scenarios, and troubleshooting case studies for trainees.
• Ensure all training materials comply with manufacturer guidelines and IT best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in computer hardware, software, and network security.

Assessment & Performance Evaluation

• Conduct theoretical and practical assessments to measure trainees’ competencies.
• Provide constructive feedback and coaching to improve trainees’ skills.
• Maintain detailed training records, evaluation reports, and progress tracking for trainees.
• Organize User Acceptance Tests (UAT) for trainees to validate their skills.

Technical Support & Hands-On Guidance

• Assist trainees in troubleshooting and diagnosing hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Guide trainees in performing preventive and corrective maintenance on computer systems.
• Demonstrate industry-standard tools for disk cleanup, defragmentation, performance optimization, and system security.
• Ensure trainees understand best practices in data backup, system recovery, and cybersecurity.

Compliance & Industry Standards

• Ensure all training aligns with industry certifications, company policies, and safety regulations.
• Promote best practices in IT support, security, and infrastructure management.
• Collaborate with IT professionals to enhance training programs with the latest technological advancements.

Job Requirements

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia with VTO qualifications
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), or Cisco CCNA are a plus.

Experience

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in computer system setup, IT support, networking, or IT training.
• Hands-on experience with hardware assembly, operating system installation, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Prior experience in technical training, coaching, or educational roles is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in setting up and configuring computer hardware, peripherals, and operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).
• Strong knowledge of network configurations (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
• Expertise in server setup, maintenance, and virtualization technologies.
• Knowledge of IT security best practices, malware removal, and data protection.
• Familiarity with cloud computing, mobile device management, and remote assistance tools.
