Position Summary

The Senior HR Director is responsible for developing strategic partnerships that are integral to the success of the business and to the support and achievement of goals and objectives from the Human Resources perspective. Develops and executes strategic plan to attract, develop, retain talent in partnership with key stakeholders and monitors environment for change.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness by analyzing challenges, prescribing solutions and supporting implementation.
  • Contributes to the business strategy by helping functional areas to identify, prioritize and build team member centric capabilities, behaviors, structure, and processes aligned to business goals.
  • Proactively scans the work environment and partner with corporate HR and operational areas to create measurable solutions regarding compensation analysis, recruiting and onboarding initiatives, recognition programs and team development.
  • Monitor HR and site trends using analytics and stakeholder data to create projects or programs that enhance team member engagement, create workforce solutions, and increase team member retention.
  • Supports leader growth and effectiveness by actively participating with leadership interviewing, performing new leader integration sessions, performance and behavioral coaching and developmental plans.
  • Develops and trains, and mentors HR staff for onboarding and promotional growth.
  • Collaborates and execute change management initiatives.
  • Ensures consistent policy interpretation and education.
  • Counsels and influences business leaders in complex Human Resources issues.
  • Conducts employee relations investigations; manages dispute resolution process.
  • Provides coaching for leaders on talent productivity, leadership best practices, and diversion of risk related to employment practices with consistent documentation.
  • Supports talent management discussions and influences talent strategies.
  • Supports Senior Director, HR in implementation of workforce strategy initiatives.
  • Implements and delivers training and development programs at all levels throughout the organization
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local regulations to include Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations concerning employment.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education/Training/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience serving as an HR Business Partner or other HR leadership roles with demonstrated experience with successfully executing business strategic imperatives.
  • Five (5) years of direct experience leading a team of HR professionals with strong strategic HR management experience including the ability to develop leaders and manage employee relations.
