Project Engineer (Civil Engineer)

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. The role is based in Sydney, with frequent visits to regional NSW sites, working on

various civil infrastructure construction projects.

The Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s in civil engineering (4 Year Engineering Degree)
• Full NSW Driver’s License
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in design, project development and project delivery of buildings and road/rail infrastructure projects
• Experience in procurement and administration for design consultants and construction contractors
• Experience working on Transport for NSW (TfNSW) and NSW local council projects
• Experience in training civil engineering practices and use of engineering softwares
• Willingness to relocate to a regional area
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with the implementation of Australian Standards and TfNSW specifications
• Proficient in the MS Office suite, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, MS Project, and Outlook
• Experience in using softwares including but not limited to AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, and ETABS

Key Accountabilities

• Review and comprehend engineering design plans, specifications, Request for Tenders and other relevant documentation
• Prepare, coordinate, and submit bids/proposals in collaboration with design and construction teams, and business partners
• Coordinate multiple tender/proposal submissions
• Estimate costs for building and infrastructure projects
• Develop cost-efficient construction methodologies and approaches
• Prepare efficient and achievable design and construction programs
• Manage the design process and project development ensuring proactive interaction with the client, project stakeholders, design teams
• Undertake structural engineering design for reinforced concrete, steelwork, and timber, including but not limited to retaining walls, stairs, columns, beams, and slabs for residential, commercial and industrial buildings and infrastructure projects
• Undertake civil engineering design, including pavement, geometric road designs, and Drainage designs
• Produce detailed engineering documentation and specifications in compliance with relevant Australian Standards, Council, and TfNSW requirements
• Procurement and management of materials and subcontractors to meet project requirements and construction programs
• Implement project controls throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring timely completion of milestones
• Maintain a high level of awareness and adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Management standards
• Liaise with third-party services, utility authorities, local councils and other stakeholders

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
