Job Description
“Strategic: Collaborate with the CEO / MD in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs Responsible for overall direction, control & management of all activities within the manufacturing & operation of units. Developing manufacturing & operational strategic plans & overseeing its implementation to ensure maximum capacity utilization of the manufacturing unit towards achieving the group strategy, growth & profit objectives as per long term strategy. Integrating demand forecasting to Capacity needs and assessing Capacity expansion Vs Outsourcing. Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth helping to implement organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met Providing strong leadership & ensuring high morale, team work & good employee relation at all levels including shop floor. Identify scope for planning/implementing technological changes to enhance efficiency Coach and develop team to build robust next line of leaders. Operational: Overall responsibility for running the operations with particular focus on Health & Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and Delivery performance targets and ensures that regulations regarding Labour law, quality and environmental issues are met all times. Responsible for ensuring the adherence policies of manufacturing & qualities etc. Drive quality culture and ensure robust processes are followed to achieve zero rejection rate. Ensuring that all newly developed products have represented the maximum quality & reliability and improve the customer delight. Process: Review of important MIS with respect to product line, key bottlenecks, identify the gaps and take corrective actions. Identify best practices for production optimization and implement to bring in improvements. Ensure preventive maintenance initiatives are in place and monitor its implementation Modifications in equipments, process flow, working practices, consumables etc. for controlling & reducing conversion cost per unit produced.”
