Job Summary

Nua Healthcare Services (Nua) is one of Ireland’s leading Private Healthcare Providers, specialising in Residential and Supported Living Services, to both Children and Adults with a range of complex support needs.

Nua Supported Living Services deliver a range of bespoke care packages to individuals with diverse needs, and operate on a 24 hours per day, 365 days per year basis. Supported living Services differ from residential services in that you will be supporting the individual either in their own home, in the community, or in accommodation on a supported holiday.

Shifts can be a combination of 4hr, 6hr, 8hr, 12hr or 24 hr(sleepover) depending on the individual that you are supporting and the amount of support that they require.

Job Objectives

The role of the Social Care Worker/ Assistant Support Worker is to provide professional care and support to that individual in a way that meets their care needs. Your role will be to help each individual develop their independent living skills and reach their full potential in life.

We are seeking applications from energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team for the above positions. The successful candidate will be afforded all necessary training and development in line with the role.

This Will Include The Following On a Day-to-day Basis

  • Live our Mission, Vision and Values.
  • Support the Individual in experiencing everyday life within their community.
  • Providing support to the individual as well as supporting them during social, or educational activities in the community.
  • Enable individuals to pursue and maintain their individual hobbies and interests.
  • Driving and/or escorting the Individual by a company vehicle, or via public transport, to and from social activities, appointments or planned outings.
  • Assist with encouraging and developing individuals, in relation to personal hygiene, health matters and care for their personal appearance.
  • To promote and safeguard the well-being, and interests of the Individual at all times.

Skills Requirement

Qualifications

  • Assistant Support Worker – No qualification required (All necessary training provided),
  • Social Care Workers – Level 7/ 8 degree in Social Care/Healthcare or related discipline

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of standards and legislation relevant to the area, desirable but not essential

Experience

  • Relevant work/life experience would be desirable but not essential.
