About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated professional to manage day to day operations, provide exceptional client management, and direct operational activities in the depot while leaning on their experience in the transport and logistics industry to help identify areas for improvements. Key Responsibilities
- Managed day to day fleet operations around freight and linehaul making sure to provide supervision and oversight of the workforce, including the monitoring of staff performance within line of work requirements, safety and policy regulations.
- Provide supervision and guidance to foster a positive work environment and encourage employees to work efficiently and within policy and legal guidelines
- Provide leadership, development, and guidance to a diverse range of areas within the Operations while you direct and build your team to ensure operational success of the national linehaul division
- conduct regular customer review meetings, building strong, long-term relationships with key clients, while presenting performance metrics, KPIs, and improvement plans, fostering transparency and collaboration to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Work within the Operations Budget to meet the operations financial targets, achieving a business profit result while expanding future opportunities through business development and sales support
- Be accountable for the overall performance and success of the business unit, maintaining high standards in operations and achieving operational plan goals.
Skills And Experience
- 5 years + experience in LineHaul operations and people management
- Strong communication and negation skills as well as a proven ability to lean on established industry relationships
- Demonstrated proficiency in Driver Management.
- Commitment to Safety and Compliance standards, with a proven track record.
- Proficiency in Chain of Responsibility and Fatigue Management protocols.
- Strong leadership abilities to oversee and guide a team of operator, dispatchers, and other personnel
- A deep understanding of regulations, compliance, and safety standards
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), routing software, and other relevant tools
