Keeping to our roots, The Graham Companies continues to be involved in the agriculture business with dairy, beef, and pecan orchard farming located in Moore Haven, Florida, and Southwest Georgia.

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Project Manager to oversee and manage multi-family construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management, with a strong background in multi-family construction and a passion for problem-solving and leadership.

In this role, you will

Be responsible for day-to-day management of the General Contractor to ensure the project meets all financial and timeline requirements set out by the Ownership Team, including but not limited to; project management, quality control, financial reporting and close out, construction, and transition to Operations team.

  • Serve as project manager for development projects during the design and construction process.
  • Prepare and present project status updates to Ownership team.
  • Serve as a liaison between architects, engineers, utility service providers, governmental entities, and General Contractor to meet project milestones.
  • Coordinate with the GC to develop the Critical Path project schedule and review monthly updates.
  • Coordinate with local building officials/3rd party private providers to secure the building permits.
  • Coordinate with local County approval agencies, FPL, GAS and all utilities required for permitting on the project.
  • Work with Ownership team to review Design documents for practicality, operational efficiency, and lower long term maintenance costs.
  • Maintain predevelopment and construction project budgets.
  • Assist in solicitation of bids from General Contractors.
  • Review and evaluate recommendations for subcontractor bids from General Contractor.
  • Review General Contractor pay applications monthly.
  • Review General Contractor monthly project manual and provide financial updates to the Ownership team monthly.
  • Manage the RFI/ASI process and ensure the General Contractor gets timely data.
  • Monitor the submittal process and ensure responses by the design team are timely and accurate and evaluate submittals to ensure the Ownership team’s directives are being followed.
  • Coordinate the punch list process to ensure the General Contractor is meeting project timelines.
  • Monitor all necessary inspections to ensure building turnover per the project schedule.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements And Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in construction management, project management, engineering or closely related field.
  • Extensive experience managing multi-family residential construction projects or closely related experience including supervisory experience.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Florida Class E Driver’s License.
  • Previous experience developing cost and operating pro-formas preferred.
  • Experience with scheduling software is preferred.
  • Bi-lingual communication is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Effective and professional verbal and written communications.
  • Proven research and analytical skills.
  • High level of time management and ability to drill down to minutiae.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products and Procore Project Management software.
