Zone Financial Analyst – Marmaxx

The Opportunity: Contribute To The Growth Of Your Career.

As a Financial Analyst on this team you are responsible for the preparation of labor and non-labor store expenses! You will handle all activity for Zone stores, and monitor the performance, compare common expenditures, and advise field management of opportunities to close the gap where differences exist. You will analyze crucial statistics and data pertinent to the development of the store expense budgets and field supervisory budgets, including store payroll, profit and loss statements, and store comparison for a Zone supporting up to 400 stores and $5.5B in retail sales.

A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously that will be reviewed by Senior Leadership. Thinking critically, analyzing effectively and communicating efficiently is required.

What Will You Do

  • Monitor monthly expense performance by Profit & Loss line item detail, provides variance reporting and explanation, forecasts future performance, compares expense performance between plan vs. actual.
  • Develop Financial/ Operational reports at District, Regional and Zone levels that are informational and actionable for field management.
  • Participate in the development of the monthly operating plan and is the communication point for multiple Districts and Regions in partnership with the Home Offices.
  • Coordinate expenses for new stores, remodels and relocations.
  • Assist District Manager’s and Store Manager’s in developing and implementing management staffing plans.
  • ELIMINATE: Assist District Managers and Field Vice Presidents on the store bonus plan and monthly revisions as appropriate.
  • Acts as a liaison between Field and Home Office regarding payroll and all store expenses.
  • Collaborate with the Home Office to identify and communicate improvement opportunities for the Zones, Regions and Districts, including P&L opportunities and controllable expenses.
  • Liaison with multiple Home Office departments (Transportation, Systems, Facilities, Real Estate, Loss Prevention, Human Resources).

  • Ability to coach/train others
  • Considered a Plus:
    • Knowledge of OLS &/or Power Bi
    • Knowledge of systems (i.e., Kronos, Workday, Service Now, Service Channel, Class Category, etc.)

This position has a starting salary range of $66,500 to $83,100 per year.

Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
