Distribution Lead

Job Purpose:

The Distribution Lead for Kuwait ensures the seamless and cost-effective distribution of Nestlé products across the market, maintaining the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance. The role focuses on working closely with 3PL to manage warehousing operations, optimize transportation, ensure customer satisfaction, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the distribution network within Kuwait.

Key Responsibilities:

• Warehouse and Inventory Management
• Manage 3PL warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage, stock rotation, and space utilization.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with Nestlé quality standards.
• Implement strategies to minimize stock losses and improve operational efficiency.
• Transportation and Fleet Optimization
• Partner with third-party logistics providers to optimize delivery schedules and costs through route planning and delivery execution.
• Ensure compliance with local transportation laws and safety standards.
• Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to streamline distribution processes and reduce costs.
• Lead the implementation of digital tools and best practices to enhance efficiency.
• Monitor and address any risks in the distribution network.
• Stakeholder Collaboration and Customer Service
• Act as the primary contact for all distribution-related issues in Kuwait.
• Partner with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain strong relationships with key customers to address delivery issues.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5 – 8 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or distribution, ideally in FMCG.
• Experience in managing operations within the Kuwait market is an advantage.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Kuwait’s logistics and distribution landscape.
• Proficiency in supply chain systems (e.g., SAP, WMS, or TMS).
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.
• Leadership abilities to manage and motivate teams effectively.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is an added advantage.

• On-time delivery (OTD) rate in Kuwait.
• Logistics cost per unit delivered.
• Warehouse capacity utilization.
• Customer service level (CSL) in Kuwait.
