To work in region as part of a customer’s Operations team providing guidance, mentoring, and sharing best practices to ensure the skill base, operational process & procedures are aligned with the current business demands. Work with the GE support team to ready the shop for shop transition and significant operational growth.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work as a part of the GE project team, taking on the role of operational workstream Leader.
  • Provide Leadership and direction to the customers operations team to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, company policies & business targets.
  • Support Senior Customer Operations Leader in the strategic development and planning of manpower, equipment and other resources to meet business demands.
  • Provide ongoing mentoring, leadership & direction to the Senior Operations team,
  • Provide recommendations on how to maintain a consistent engine delivery.
  • Develop and use data-based metrics to monitor performance and to champion continuous improvement for the customer within the operations process.
  • Assist in driving quality improvements throughout the process and at all times ensure that compliance with all regulatory requirements are maintained.
  • Provide guidance on the setting, implementing and execution of gate targets.
  • Actively support & encourage the use of Lean Six Sigma tools & techniques.
  • Maintain GE business metrics providing regular updates to MRO Program Leader, project core team & senior steering committee.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an Operations leadership role
  • Track record of managing and coaching teams, driving team engagement and individual development
  • Strong interpersonal, coaching and leadership skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge of the disciplines of manufacturing management such as production and WIP control.
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of GE products, processes, customer requirements
  • Six Sigma training preferred.
