Software Engineer Intern role:

Job Family Summary

Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools.

Level Summary

A skilled engineer that completes tasks in a resourceful & effective way. Responsible for the weekly planning and delivery of technical services. Learns to use/apply professional concepts or develops professional expertise, interpreting and using company policies and practices to resolve issues on a variety of problems in own discipline/specialist area. Adapts practices within company policies using acquired techniques to complete complex assignments and achieve goals. Collaboratively works on problems where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises independent judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions that may significantly impact business operations. Recognized by peers to be credible and leader of some team efforts.

Roles & Responsibilities

Builds productive internal/external working relationships.

Accomplishes operational and/or functional objectives that enable successful execution of department goals; achieves KPIs and action plans.

With general direction, completes engineering activities and tasks for a specific architecture or technology.

Receives technical requirements and guidance from senior technical staff to successfully execute engineering work assignments.

Completes technical tasks and deliverables of moderate scope within set timeline.

Follows technical documentation and standardized processes and procedures.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
