Looking for Junior Linux System Administrator at Excel PTP Solutions, Ahmedabad

• Full time BTN 9:30AM to 7:30 PM

Job Summary

• As a Junior Linux System Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our organization’s Linux-based systems. This position is ideal for a candidate with a strong interest in Linux administration and a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic IT environment. The Junior Linux System Administrator will work closely with the IT team to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our Linux infrastructure.

Skills & Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux operating systems.
• Perform routine system updates, patches, and backups.
• Identify and resolve hardware and software issues on Linux servers.
• Respond to system alerts and troubleshoot system-related problems.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect Linux systems.
• Monitor system logs for security incidents and take appropriate action.
• Provide technical support to end-users on Linux-related issues.
• Assist in user account management and access control.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
• Conduct performance tuning to optimize system efficiency.
• Create and update system documentation, including configurations and procedures.
• Keep inventory of hardware and software components.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Certification/Trainer Experience in relevant section would be preferred First.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, or similar).
• Familiarity with basic networking concepts and protocols.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Basic understanding of scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python) would be best!
