The Medical Imaging Department has had major investment in CT & MRI, and has recently purchased 4 new Digital Imaging rooms and have recently opened a new Emergency Department CT and X ray room. Our services are expanding further, with the expansion of the ED department to include further projectional and CT imaging provision, along with a successful CDC bid becoming operational at our second site at Victoria Infirmary, Northwich.

We provide a 24/7 CT at the Leighton site, and 8 to 8 service at VIN. Successful candidates will be expected to participate in the out of hour’s rotas.

The Radiology department has been recognised as the Best Training Placement for Radiologist Registrars for the last 3 years.

Having successfully bid for a “Community Diagnostic Centre” , we have expanded our services in the Imaging Department at the Victoria Infirmary, Northwich site. This includes protectional imaging, USS, DXA and CT services, with a new CT scanner installed and operational from June 2022. The protectional x-ray equipment has been upgraded in one of the rooms to the latest in Samsung technology and upgraded to new Carestream DR in the second room.
