Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced People Operations Specialist to partner with fellow People team members to create, innovate, and implement our employee onboarding programs, support our immigration filings, and provide support in various People-related areas. We are looking for someone passionate about people, able to create and improve processes, and brings that mindset.
This position is hybrid but generally flexible on days in the office and remote. Ideally, you would be in our Santa Clara office at least 2-3 days per month. This position reports to our Sr Manager, Total Rewards, and will be an integral part of the People team and very front facing with our employees.
Job Responsibilities
The main job responsibilities are noted below.
- Support our onboarding for full-time and contingent workers – from offer acceptance to the first day, ensuring a positive employee experience.
- Manage our HRIS system (ADP) onboarding for Full-time and Temporary employees as well as our payroll system (Deel) for contingent hires.
- Be the main point of contact for new employees/contractors to ensure a great employee experience at Blue River.
- Work with the People team stakeholders and others to constantly improve our onboarding processes and experience.
- Conduct ad hoc new hire training as needed.
- Support Sr Total Rewards Manager with our employee visa filings – tracking, communicating, scheduling, etc.
- Respond and triage requests on our employee ticketing system, ensuring timely resolutions, including employment verification requests.
- Run, review, format, and distribute specific reports on a regular cadence.
- Support benefits, payroll, and other Total Rewards functions.
Required Experience And Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or equivalent.
- 2+ years of HR and onboarding experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) G-Suite, Slack.
- Solid understanding of the employee lifecycle, and how to create a great employee experience.
- Experience supporting fast-moving and constantly changing organizations, building and refining processes, innovating on People team offerings, and managing projects.
- Customer-focused attitude with a high level of professionalism.
- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across the organization.
Preferred Experience And Skills
- Experience with ADP.
- Hands-on experience with benefits, immigration, and compliance.
- Experience running weekly orientation meetings.
- Knowledge of payroll and HRIS system.

The US annual base salary range for this position is $91,000 – $137,000, along with eligibility for Blue River’s bonus and benefit programs.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process. During the recruitment process, we may identify an alternative role or level to which you are more suited. If your ideal role at Blue River differs from the advertised position, we will provide an updated pay range as soon as possible during the hiring process.
