Summary And Essential Functions

The Medical Staff Services Specialist (60%) organizes and oversees the daily operations of the Medical Staff Office, provides meeting coordination and support to the Medical Staff, and manages the Medical Staff credentialing process. This includes the collection and entry of the full array of information collected or the purpose of credentialing physicians and allied health professionals according to LRH policies, National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Standards, and State and Federal regulations. The Medical Staff Services Specialist provides administrative support to the LRH Medical Staff and serves a conduit between the credentialing and enrollment processes, keeping lines of communication open with both administration, human resources, physician practices, and patient financial services.

The Executive Assistant to the EVP/CMO (40%) provides high-level administrative support to the Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer by conducting research, drafting correspondence, preparing reports, monitoring budget compliance, handling information requests and performing office management functions. Often the duties are of a confidential and complex nature.

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with regard to Administrative and Medical Staff activities as well as credentialing and enrollment information is required.

The Executive Assistant and Medical Staff Services Specialist interacts with both internal and external customers including, but not limited to:

  • Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers
  • Administration, Department Leaders, and Staff
  • Board of Trustees
  • Health Plan Representatives
  • Credentialing Professionals from other healthcare facilities
  • Professionals seeking appointment to the LRH Medical Staff
