About The Role

  • We are seeking a French/English speaking Field Operations Specialist to join our team in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Quartermaster’s operations in the region, ensuring the effective deployment and management of our marine protection technology. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical aptitude, physical capability, and excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware technology used in marine protection operations.
  • Manage the transportation, handling, and setup of equipment, including lifting and moving heavy boxes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with government officials, boat captains and crews, and other relevant stakeholders in the maritime sector.
  • Represent Quartermaster with integrity, professionalism, and high moral character, ensuring trust and credibility with partners.
  • Conduct training sessions and provide support to local teams and stakeholders on the use and functionality of our equipment.
  • Serve as a liaison between the regional office and headquarters, ensuring clear communication and reporting.
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges in the field while maintaining adherence to company standards.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on field activities, stakeholder engagement, and equipment performance.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in French and English (spoken and written).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse groups.
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy equipment up to 40lbs.
  • Comfortable learning and working with hardware technology in a marine environment.
  • High moral character and a demonstrated ability to work with integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple relationships and tasks simultaneously.
  • Prior experience in maritime operations, fieldwork, or working with government entities is a plus.
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
