Job Description
Fencing Supply Group (FSG), a portfolio company of The Sterling Group, a middle-market private equity firm, is seeking a Chief People Officer (CPO) to lead its human capital strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CPO will play a critical role in driving organizational growth by prioritizing talent acquisition, leadership development, and employee engagement. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a proven track record in building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of excellence across a multi-state, high-growth organization.
This role is pivotal in ensuring FSG attracts, develops, and retains top talent while aligning people strategies with the company’s long-term objectives.
Key Responsibilities
:Talent Acquisition & Developmen
- tLead efforts to identify, attract, and hire “A Player” talent for critical roles, ensuring alignment with FSG’s growth strategy
- .Establish innovative recruitment strategies to expand talent pipelines, including partnerships with external agencies, universities, and industry networks
- .Design and implement onboarding and training programs to ensure seamless integration and accelerated employee performance
- .Drive leadership development initiatives, succession planning, and coaching to cultivate internal talent and maintain a robust leadership pipeline
.Employee Engagement & Cultur
- eAssess and define the organizational culture required to achieve strategic goals, implementing programs to embed desired values and behaviors
- .Implement employee engagement strategies that drive retention, satisfaction, and productivity
- .Partner with executives to create a transparent and effective communication strategy that aligns employees with FSG’s mission and vision
.Strategic Leadershi
- pCollaborate with the executive team to align human capital strategies with business objectives, including revenue growth and operational efficiency
- .Develop and execute comprehensive talent strategies, including workforce planning, performance management, and total rewards programs
- .Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team, providing insights and solutions on people-related challenges
.Operational Excellenc
- eUtilize data-driven insights to monitor workforce trends, measure talent strategy effectiveness, and inform decision-making
- .Drive continuous improvement in HR processes, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and scalability
- .Oversee M&A-related talent integration, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment of organizational cultures
