EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR I – Toddler Teacher Assistant
The Town of Windsor is looking for a dynamic, energetic Montessori Toddler Teacher Assistant to fill a full-time position. The successful candidate will assist in the planning and implementation for an Toddler Montessori Program for children ages 18 to 36 months; work with assistants, interns, and contractual employees; recommend materials and supplies as needed; assist in the preparation of daily reports to families; act in the lead role during the teachers absence; attend monthly staff meetings; participate in seminars and training sessions as assigned; and, maintain timely and accurate work records.
Minimum Requirements
- Associates degree in education, early childhood development or related field with 1 year experience; or, any combination of education and/or experience required
- Must have good knowledge of principles and practices of early childhood education and development
- AMS Montessori Certification or completion of an accredited Montessori training program preferred. Candidates who have completed AMS training but need the practicum experience will be considered
- Completion of 12 ECE credits is required within the first year of employment
- Successful completion of the Town of Windsor’s pre-employment background and drug screen – including testing for marijuana
Compensation And Schedule
- Annual salary range is $34,100 to $35,360 depending on experience and qualifications

- The hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday thru Friday
