About the Role
At Semarchy, we are a fast-growing and innovative organization, committed to cultivating a dynamic work culture through exceptional HR practices. We are looking for a skilled and proactive HR Operations Manager to join our People team and contribute to streamlining HR operations while also playing a key role in fostering employee engagement and culture building. This position will be fully remote, with a preference for candidates located on the East Coast.
The HR Operations Manager will be a versatile and hands-on leader responsible for overseeing HR operations, benefits administration, payroll compliance, and HCM management. In addition, this individual will take an active role in employee relations and help shape the company’s culture by refining the onboarding experience and enhancing overall employee engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of ADP Workforce Now, payroll law and compliance, and possess the ability to handle various HR generalist responsibilities with a focus on efficiency, compliance, and the employee experience.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and oversee ADP Workforce Now platform for payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS data management
- Administer benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and terminations, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws
- Ensure payroll compliance, accurately processing payroll and addressing any discrepancies or issues
- Stay current on payroll law, compliance regulations, and other HR-related legal requirements to ensure organizational adherence
- Manage HR generalist duties, including employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR processes, policies, and procedures to support business objectives
- Prepare and maintain HR reports, dashboards, and data analysis for senior leadership.
- Provide excellent customer service to employees by addressing questions related to benefits, payroll, and general HR matters
- Support the HR team with ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in HR operations, with a focus on benefits administration, payroll, and HR compliance
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS systems
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, benefits administration, and compliance regulations
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Nice to Have
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus
- Experience working in a fast-growing or startup environment

*For those applicants in the California, Colorado, and New York area, the base salary range for this role is $70K-$80K. The compensation offered will be based on experience, role, and location.
