Join our Finance, Technology & Commercial (FTC) enabling division that provides group finance, investment & assurance, financial sustainability, PMO & enablement, group technology, commercial and procurement functions to Transport for NSW. ?We’re building an authentic organisational culture where everyone feels empowered to make a real difference to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.

Reporting to the Executive Director PMO & Enablement you will be an integral part of our newly established Enablement & PMO Leadership Team. In this new role you will lead the project management, project controls and related common capabilities to support the delivery of FTC’s enterprise and divisional projects.

In this role you’ll:

• Provide management, leadership, stakeholder management and professional guidance in the delivery of projects and programs.
• Lead the planning, monitoring and control of all aspects of a project (when FTC is accountable for the delivery of the initiative).
• Lead the development and implementation of project and program planning and delivery.
• Lead and manage the governance, progress reporting, financials, scope and risk of projects and programs.
• Respond to questions on cost, scheduling and risk.
• Facilitate decision making on technical and commercial project and program issues.
• Deliver on time, on budget and to quality standards within the approved scope.
• Ensure there is consistency and accuracy in all aspects of project/program management and delivery.
• Coordinate and implement suitable assurance processes to ensure successful handover of programs and projects.

About You

• You’re an inspiring leader with extensive experience in Project delivery and project controls and have a proven record delivering results in complex, fast paced environments.
• You will have demonstrated experience of successfully leading teams through change, fostering collaboration and driving strategic outcomes..
• You will have a delivery focus with the ability to take accountability.
• You have strong experience in project cost, scheduling, resourcing and risk.
• You are an influencer and thought leader in delivering advice within an organisation.
• You will understand the balance of addressing customer requirements whilst adhering to other regulatory, policy, government and operational conditions.
• You have the ability to articulate complex concepts and put forward compelling arguments and rationales to all levels and types of audiences.
• You are experienced in building, developing and leading high performing technical teams.
