Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Bring extensive knowledge, skill and experience in the field of Civil 3D for 3D designs
- Maintain a high performing team that can offer high quality and efficient multi-disciplinary 3D Model Designs to WGM’s various clients and internal business functions
- Develop knowledge and understanding of designing systems, products and processes that consider efficiency of manufacture and assembly i.e. (DfMA), including the use of standard products and repeatable designs in an off-site, production line facility
- Coordinate a team of Civil 3D designers to prepare suitable 2D drawings from 3D models
- Maintain a commitment to Continual Professional Development throughout the team as well as providing encouragement, mentoring and supervision for new or developing members of the team
- Apply significant knowledge and experience of working in a Civil 3D design environment to ensure processes and procedures are implemented from the outset and are standardised across the business
- Undertake to keep abreast of new developments or emergent technology within the 3D Digital design environment and/or client arenas particularly
- Support the business in working to achieve BIM level 2 compliance.
- Relay any issues or concerns in a timely manner to the Technical Support Manager
To be considered for this position you will have at least 2-3 years previous within CAD or design function, previous experience ideally within an engineering or construction environment would be beneficial. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of CAD and 3D modelling, you will have commercial awareness of your specialist area of engineering. Effective communication skills to liaise with team members, clients, contractors and others involved in the design process are essential for the role.
