Job Description

Job Summary This position is responsible for providing direct patient care by assessing health conditions, administering medications as prescribed, monitoring vital signs, educating patients about their treatment plans, offering emotional support, and collaborating with other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient well being.

Job Description:

  • Patient Assessment. Regularly monitoring patient vital signs, as well as observe physical symptoms by identifying potential complications
  • Accurately administering prescribed medications following proper protocols
  • Wound dressing: cleaning and dressing wounds as needed.
  • Creating individualized care plan based on patients’ needs in collaboration with physicians
  • Informing patients about their diagnosis, treatment options, and self-care practice
  • Providing comfort and emotional support to patients and their families
  • Regularly maintain clear and concise communication with patients, families and other healthcare team members
  • Accurately recording patient information, including observations, interventions, and medications administered
  • Assisting with personal hygiene, feeding and mobility needs
  • Effectively using and maintaining medical equipment like blood pressure monitors, thermometers and infusion pumps

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Nursing Science degree. Additional specialty qualification an added advantage
  • Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • Valid practicing license.
