JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties: Plan, coordinate, and execute securities and loan transactions in the form of high yield bonds, leveraged loans, and preferred equity placements. Lead deal teams through corporate refinancings, general corporate purpose debt raises, dividend recapitalizations, leveraged buyouts, and acquisition financings. Responsible for simultaneous live deal processes with multiple workstreams focused on data analysis, comparables analysis, and strategic planning. Conduct and present technical analysis and modeling on credit-specific financials, comparables, and general capital markets themes. Responsible for working on legal workstreams, including term sheets negotiations, commitment paper negotiations, credit agreement negotiations, fee letter negotiations, and general legal work surrounding the maintenance of an ongoing facility. Lead the due diligence process for business, legal, regulatory, cyber, accounting, and financial for deal processes. Manage junior analysts, analysts, and junior associates on the deal teams. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel.

Qualifications

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any), Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field of study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or as Leveraged Finance, Analyst, or related occupation in the financial services industry.

Skills Required: Requires 2 years of experience with lead left debt financing transactions including leveraged buyout deals, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), corporate loan, and bond refinancings. Requires 1 year of experience with review of credit agreements, purchase agreements, and transaction term sheets. Requires experience with the following skills: Bloomberg; Factset; capital structure analysis; business writing; business diligence including analyses of business processes, operations, and financial projections; accounting diligence including historical and pro forma financial statement analysis; legal due diligence in identifying topics such as legal contingencies, future litigations and contractual disputes; trading metrics of debt securities in the secondary market; bond math; institutional and pro rata instruments in both public and private markets; and cost of debt and net present value analysis.

Job Location: 383 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10179. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel.

Full-Time. Salary: $200,000 – $225,000 per year.
