Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Bill Preparation:
- Prepare detailed bills and invoices for ongoing construction projects, including materials, labor, and other costs.
- Verify the accuracy of quantity measurements and contractor claims.
- Documentation:
- Maintain and update records of all project-related bills, invoices, purchase orders, and work progress certificates.
- Ensure proper documentation of contract terms, change orders, and variations in the billing process.
- Cost Monitoring:
- Track and monitor project costs to ensure they are in line with the budget.
- Coordinate with site engineers and project managers to track the progress of work and ensure accurate billing.
- Payment Processing:
- Ensure timely submission of bills and coordinate with finance teams to process contractor and supplier payments.
- Verify compliance with contractual agreements and work completion before processing payments.
- Client and Contractor Coordination:
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and vendors to resolve any discrepancies in billing and payment matters.
- Respond to queries related to billing issues and address concerns in a timely manner.
- Quantity Surveying:
- Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare cost estimates for new projects.
- Measure and verify quantities of materials and labor used on-site.
- Reporting:
- Prepare and submit regular reports on billing status, payments processed, and any outstanding amounts.
- Assist in preparing financial forecasts and project cash flow statements.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in billing, quantity surveying, or a related role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of billing procedures, project cost management, and construction contracts.
